GAROSNOW FESTIVAL: ELECTRO AND SKIING!

A WEEKEND IN THE PYRENEES IN LES ANGLES, WITH ELECTRO AND WINTER SPORTS!

We’re impatiently awaiting this year’s festival, this time with lots of snow in the resort.

We’re thrilled to see the mountains dressed in their most beautiful white coat.

Saturday morning, the alarm clock goes off, the skiing session begins!

We put on our skis, and off we go for a day with our hair in the wind (or noses in the snow for some)…
Yes, the cold’s invigorating. Some have obviously had trouble recovering from the day before… 5 artists from 10:00 pm till 3:30 am.

Those who are up have the chance to enjoy Esteban’s techno set by stopping off at the Snow Park to stomp on the powder from midday to 2:00 pm.

We take advantage of the late afternoon to rest and get into shape for the second evening of the weekend.

This is the evening we’re most looking forward to, with so many discoveries and varieties awaiting.
We tumble into the room at the end of Tshegue’s performance with his musicians, a warm atmosphere and hyper-rhythmical Afro-punk music.
They radiate a good mood, no less is required to get this second evening going.
A change of register, the Polo & Pan due and their hovering deep house follow.
We appreciate their set with smooth tracks.

It’s then four Parisians forming the Counterfaçon group who take the floor with their machines and microphones.

Good techno that’s a bit sharp on the edges, flustered, with influences from the 1990s and gabber beats and acid sounds.
Live it’s a real hit; the audience jumps around in all directions and these four make their public’s feet lift up in a hall that’s now crowded.
Last year it was Salut C’est cool that got us going, and this time Contrefaçon is doing the job in turn to unleash the crowds.
It’s 2:15 am, the group is playing one of their flagship pieces Danser, Penser, which gets us up and running, before leaving us and giving way to Marc Houle.
A little over 1 hour of live techno begins. The Canadian fills our ears with melodies and deep technoid kicks. We couldn’t have hoped for a better end to the festival.
