You had the chance to try out the Lou Bac Mountain monorail toboggan during its operational tests. Tell me a bit about it…
Nathalie M.:
I confess to not feeling proud during the cable car ride… the apprehension of what I was going to find at the top was there! Getting out of the cable car, I see these rows of toboggans lined up one behind the other, and I say to myself, “Well, I can’t pull out now! ”. The person in charge of the toboggans helps me to get into one, fastens my seatbelt and explains how it works. “You push the lever forwards, you accelerate, you pull it towards you, you brake, you leave it in neutral, you go down calmly…”. The light turns green and I’m about to set off… the toboggan begins its descent and I’m off for a moment of madness! Banked bends, stretches through the forest alternating with magical views of Lake Matemale and the village… a wild descent! Within a few minutes I’m at the bottom… at last…

And so, in the end, the adrenalin and the thrills were there?
Nathalie M.:
Oh yes, even though I braked on some parts of the track, I really enjoyed myself because I was able to descend at my speed. I can’t wait for the toboggan run to open so that I can take my two teenagers there, I’m sure they’ll love it!
Please note, during busy periods waiting times at the start of the toboggan run can vary… please be patient, the descent is well worth it!
