1651. Louis (not yet XIV) is a young teenager. With the Fronde looming, his mother Anne of Austria decides to whisk her son away to safety and replace him with a lookalike. D’Artagnan entrusts Louis to Cyrano de Bergerac, who hides him within the theatre troupe led by Madeleine Béjart and Molière. Whilst Madeleine and Cyrano discover a shared passion for the young Molière, Louis discovers life and its pleasures, art and work, courage and strategy – everything that will make him the Sun King.
