The Morgen Quintet was formed in 2023. It comprises outstanding musicians who explore all musical styles and are keen to share the art they love so much. The quintet consists of: Tània Matas (soprano), Natxo Jiménez (trumpet), Natalia Ursataia (violin), Vitalii Karpov (viola) and Silvia Castillo (organ and conductor).
Their programmes combine works for solo instruments, duos, trios, quartets and quintets.
Since their formation, they have performed at various venues and stages across Catalonia.
Notably, the crypt of the Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Girona Cathedral, Anglès, La Cellera de Ter, Les Planes d’Hostoles, Granollers, the Municipal Theatre of Lloret de Mar, etc.
At Christmas 2024, they premiered ‘Blancalls’, a piece by Manel Alsina dedicated to them.
